BAE Systems Manufacturing Support Trainer in York, Pennsylvania

Job Description

The BAE Systems site in York, Pennsylvania supporting Combat Vehicles is seeking a Manufacturing Support Trainer. The Trainer is responsible in preparing, conducting, and evaluating training programs for both exempt and non-exempt manufacturing employees. Will conduct competency assessments through knowledge checks and process audits.

  • Performs routine competency assessments.

  • Audits and identifies performance, programs and system operation deficiencies, and recommends solutions.

  • Orients new employees and visitors to the facility.

  • Performs new hire and refresher classroom training for small and large groups; and conducts retraining and corrective training.

  • Performs On-The-Job-Training in a live and or simulated environment.

  • Manages training records in a Learning Management System.

  • Facilitates and coordinates e-Learning courses.

  • Performs process audits on programs and systems that impacts production.

  • Supports the Business Unit, as required, to maintain performance and knowledge skills in the subject matters instructed.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Experience conducting and preparing training materials

  • Effective communication skills

  • Mechanical background

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience with military vehicles

  • Mechanical experience

  • Experience working in a collaborative, team based environment

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • Integration and test experience
