BAE Systems Armored Vehicle Entry Level mechanical Engineer in York, Pennsylvania
This position is seeking an Entry level Mechanical Engineer to work on armored recovery systems, with a particular focus on fire prevention and suppression.
What you'll do:
At the entry level, you'll be given problems to solve as the tracked vehicles are being produced. You will perform basic engineering design, analysis and/or product assurance tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project.
Ensure tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements.
Learn about fire suppression, prevention and fire forensic analysis.
Apply basic engineering design and/or analytical theory, principles, techniques, and practices to a limited portion of a technical project.
Develop and write technical documentation, makes revision to existing documentation, and provides input to technical papers or presentations.
Perform basic technical analysis, testing, calculations, and evaluation of results using specialized equipment and/or by computer programs.
Analyze and interprets design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications and product requirements.
Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant engineering discipline(s), industry practices, trends, and applications.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety policies and rules.
Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related degree.
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related degree.
Entry level knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a relevant technical field of specialization.
Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines.
Ability to solve basic technical design and development problems.
Must have experience creating models with a 3-D CAD system.
Preferred Skills and Education
Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards.
Specialized areas of knowledge or experience including t hermal, hydraulics or mechanisms should be highlighted.
Experience with ProE is a bonus.
