BAE Systems Senior Mechanical Engineer in Wayne, New Jersey

Job Description

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred and a minimum of four (4) years work experience; or a Master's Degree and two (2) years experience. Candidate must have experience developing mechanical requirements, designs, verification and validation of products, and product integration. Must have the ability to use state-of-the-art technology, principles, tools and concepts and be knowledgeable with the mechanical development lifecycle and development processes and procedures. Candidate must have experience with commercial and military specifications and standards related to mechanical design and documentation. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, parts lists and schematics. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of CAD based tools with Creo and Intralink preferred. The ability to lead small groups and provide moderately complex work direction on a regular basis is a plus.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Knowledge of a comprehensive design process and the ability to perform design tasks within a team oriented environment using solid modeling CAD tools. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment to achieve common goals.

Preferred Skills and Education

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Masters Degree is considered a plus.
