Job Description

The General Procurement Professional works as a member of a business or functional team to provide support to the delivery of procurement services to meet the operational needs of line management within a defined business unit or functional area. Commonly reporting to a Procurement Manager or Sr. Procurement Manager, the delivery of this service will typically be as a member of a Supply Chain team. The role requires working within a clearly defined framework, within accordance of FAR/DFAR rules and regulations, and with a focus on gaining experience and understanding of the Supply Chain environment.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures and appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
