BAE Systems Webmaster in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a senior-level Webmaster to provide web design support to the Division of Enterprise Web Systems (DEWS). DEWS is responsible for the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) public website. Provide support to web site design tasks such as:

  • designing website

  • look and feel

  • usability

  • develop the user interface (UI)

  • customization and integration of the web content management system (CMS)

Initial focus of the CMS will be porting BLS publications to a CMS based solution and subsequently other web content such as news releases and program pages.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Nine years of overall webmaster experience

  • Experience working on large government public websites

  • Good understanding of CMS application capability and functionality

  • Experience with the following

  • PHP

  • Python

  • JavaScript

  • web content/layout

  • graphic design

Preferred Skills and Education

Experience with the following

  • JQuery

  • Boostrap

  • HTMLUnit
