BAE Systems PCB Design Engineer in Totowa, New Jersey

Job Description

Position is on staff to our PWB Design Capability Group where all PWBs are designed, peer reviewed and managed in our Cadence Allegro tools. Design of the Printed Wiring Board using the Cadence toolset from schematic information supplied by the Electrical Engineer. Assigned to a Program Team working with Electrical, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers. Ability to design complex RF, Analog and Digital printed wiring boards including HDI requirements within the CAD tools working from Engineering direction.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • 1-2 years of experience of circuit design and layout required

  • Some PWB design experience is required

  • Some experience with CADENCE ALLEGRO CAD tools required

  • Knowledge of IPC industry standard and a working knowledge of electronics component vendor data.

  • Ability to work extended time periods in front of CAD workstation.

Preferred Skills and Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • AutoCAD tools experience a plus

  • IPC Designer Certification a plus
