BAE Systems Planning and Control (EV) Finance Manager in Sterling Heights, Michigan
An experienced Program Control Manager is sought to join BAE Systems Platforms and Services Program Controls Team in either York, PA or Sterling Heights, MI to work within its CAS Enterprise Program Controls/ Program Management system supporting on-going Program Operations, including but not limited to current and future programs. BAE Systems Combat Vehicles current program portfolio includes several large-scale, multi-year programs with the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps.
Under limited direction, the selected individual will be responsible for planning and executing project control processes in a full Earned Value (EV) environment for the Bradley A4 program conditioned on requirements as defined by the US Department of Defense (DOD), BAE Systems York CAS Program Directorates, and BAE s Life Cycle Management (LCM) Process. The individual will oversee the work, resources, and dollars using program controls tools drawing from advanced understanding of program management methodology, program control principles, and hands-on experience with integrated planning and cost processing software. The individual will manage teams of specialists or analysts, and interface with other Program Control Specialists in the development of templates, serving as a planning and cost processing tool expert, and advising division/program managers on the performance trends and progress of their plans/schedules. The individual is responsible for the preparation and analysis of internal and external monthly Planning, Monitoring, and Control (PM&C) performance reports to include Project Control Performance Reports, Material Pricing Reports, Cost and Summary Data Reporting (CSDR), developing Estimates to Complete (EAC), implementing effective change management, and supporting the development of risk and opportunities.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline and 10-14 years of Program Control/Program Management experience; or a Master degree and 8 years of experience; or relevant Ph.D. degree 4 years of experience.
Subject Matter Expert with Program Control/Program Management processes, as applied on developmental engineering and production programs, including but not limited to risk management, financial management, work breakdown structures, change management, cost estimating, configuration management, system surveillance, operations, and procurement.
6 years in planning preferred.
Expertise in developing, understanding and analyzing Performance Based Reporting to include subject matter expertise in Cost and Summary Data Reports (CSDR) development.
8 Yrs with Cobra Data Integration Tools, or equivalent (MPM or Cost Manager).
Experience with wInsight/APEX Reporting Tools
6 years in Microsoft Project, Open Plan, or Primavera
Experience with Manufacturing Requirements Planning Systems (MRP)
Strong understanding and use of Excel and Share Point
Strong understanding of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations
Experience working in a matrixed environment and experience interfacing with high level internal and external government leadership.
Experience leading groups and teams on large programs in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, including working in a semi-structured environment with the skill to develop and implement new processes and procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with both technical and non-technical staff.
Ability and willingness to work additional hours beyond the normal work day when required to meet deadlines.
Ability to legally operate cars and light trucks.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally by commercial air carrier.
Ability to obtain a security clearance if required.-[endif]->
