Job Description

Are you interested in leveraging your Electronic Warfare operational experience and knowledge to support advanced technology development and create solutions to solve some of the United States armed forces most important challenges? BAE Systems has an immediate opportunity for a USAF electronic warfare and mission-planning expert.

  • As a member of our Advanced Solutions Engineering team, your knowledge of advanced electronic warfare tactics and procedures, operational employment, and the mission planning baselines will further aid and enable new technologies, capabilities, and advanced planning solutions for new and existing customers. These solutions will support operational warfighters and supporting entities across multiple domains. You will apply your knowledge and experience working with an established mission planning software development team.

  • As an EW and mission-planning expert, you will work with cross-functional teams to define, create, and demonstrate planning solutions for ISR assets, standoff weapons, and strike aircraft. You will apply your experience and expertise with electronic warfare, threat scenarios, order of battle (EOB), weapons and sensor planning, and the Air Operations Centers to identify and guide new and innovative solutions.

  • At BAE Systems, you will work on the leading edge of systems development to create and demonstrate solutions to some of the United States most pressing problems. You will help identify warfighters needs and support solution development to address those needs.

  • BAE Systems has a long history of delivering capabilities for manned and unmanned aircraft. We are looking for experienced Electronic Warfare operators to advance warfighter capabilities to meet new and emerging threats.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Recent, relevant experience with electronic warfare / electronic attack

  • Ability to innovate, evaluate, and research new operations, tactics, and technologies

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical solutions across the business and customer environment. Good written communication skills, including the ability to describe complex technical solutions.

  • The ability to engage constructively with levels of engineering and management to communicate the mission approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions.

  • Experience working on-site with customers and end users in the DoD

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team under tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of DoD and USAF planning systems

  • Bachelor degree in relevant field

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) tools, automatic routing tools, cyber mission planning, and space operations planning is helpful.

  • Experience with pre-sales technical engagements for complex planning systems

  • Understanding of modern software systems and technologies

  • Active or recent TS/SCI clearance
