BAE Systems Deployment Lead in Rome, New York
BAE Systems is seeking a Customer Relations specialist to become part of a growing Government Program Office team in support of the Air Force Research Laboratory s (AFRL) Information Directorate in Rome, NY. AFRL is one of the nation s premier government research labs, with a mission of leading the discovery, development, and integration of affordable warfighting technologies for air, space and cyber forces. AFRL s Information Directorate focuses on solutions for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) and Cyber technologies.
Our SecureView (SV) team is responsible for government testing and successfully fielding software and systems that provide secure access to cross domain virtualized desktop machines. As a Deployment Lead, you will be required to provide regular communication and assistance with SecureView sites during their deployment / installation period. Gather the site's requirements, provide them a welcome / on-boarding package and work with our in-house engineering team, along with the site's engineering team, to complete a site survey. Track communication with the site through email, minutes from weekly calls, and updating the in-house database. Assist the site with staying on track so that they are prepared for installation. Tracking / relaying information to appropriate personnel to assist the site with the Security process.
CONUS and/or OCONUS travel.
Provide Configuration Management (CM) and Requirements Management (RM) support to Program Management Office and program stakeholders. Chair and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCB). Continually evaluate and assess CM policies, processes, and procedures to ensure they effectively meet the needs of the program. Recommend and update processes and policies as required. Revise existing documentation including the CM Plan and CCB Charter, as needed. Identify, control, and maintain software baselines and robust documentation suite. Ensure all artifacts are properly logged and stored. Provide support for government acceptance testing, and certification testing and evaluation.
Candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment and will interface with stakeholders across the Intelligence Community.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Project Management Skills
Cross Domain technical knowledge / general understanding
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to identify and perform duties independently
Ability to communicate effectively with highly technical or not-at-all technical people, and everyone in between. (Admins, ISSMs, Leadership, IA, site staff, military, vendors.)
Strong understanding of Configuration Management, Change Management, and Requirements Management principles
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
Preferred Skills and Education
Experience working with sites and system deployments
Knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions
Basic knowledge of Agile methodology
Basic knowledge of Risk Management Framework to include certification and accreditation, and government acceptance testing.
Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
