BAE Systems Enterprise Information Management Architect in Rockville, Maryland
BAE Systems is actively looking to employ an Enterprise Information Management subject matter expert who has the ability, vision and drive to establish the future state of Information Management for the Navy s Strategic Systems Program (SSP). The focus of this position is on information architecture and governance. The successful candidate will be an instrumental focal point for reviewing, influencing and improving the enterprise-wide approach to SSP information. This highly visible, key role will involve frequent direct interactions with our government customers. This resource will help shape SSP s visions of information management and experienced in assessment and validation work for EIM implementations and capable of identifying gaps and align solutions based on best practices.
This successful candidate will be regarded as a thought leader and expert and will be responsible for the following:
Helping to guide, influence and establish vision
Developing realistic yet ambitious plans
Guiding and driving implementation
Identifying user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs.
Participating in critical meetings with leadership to demonstrate concepts and strategies for best implementation practices.
Planning information architecture by studying the information concept, strategy, and target audience; envisioning architectural schemes, information structure, features, and functionality.
Implementing information architecture by preparing prototypes.
Interface closely with SSP s CIO s office to understand enabling technology and cyber implications.
The successful candidate will be involved in establishing more efficient ways to manage information. The role will involve identifying gaps and aligning solutions based on best practices. The candidate will be instrumental in establishing a strong strategic position and will have a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain intercompany relations, facilitate negotiations of complex program problems, and present a strong public image and reputation
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
Successful track record implementing enterprise information management.
Knowledge of records and data management.
Knowledge of SSP disciplines for policy, business implementation, as well as operational and maintenance documentation
Adept at creating and presenting information to a range of audiences that conveys the right level of detail for the audience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills and Education
Working knowledge of systems engineering concepts throughout an entire engineering life cycle
