BAE Systems Geospatial Lead Technician in Richmond Heights, Missouri
Support Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager s customer engagement activities to gain a deeper understanding of customer requirements to better align innovation/development efforts specifically with content management and human geography
Works closely with Solutions Architect and Innovation Teams to coordinate efforts
Provides BAE Systems and customer with new solutions regarding Topographic and HG Foundation GEOINT, focusing on One Object One Time (1O1T), Structured Observation Management (SOM) and transactional data maintenance.
Provides leadership role on BAE Systems state-of-the-data workflows, assessment activities, change detection, as well as source search and discovery and reporting of findings to the customer
Support customer meetings, technology demonstrations and intercompany technical exchanges
Support Content Management technical exchange meetings/reviews during customer site visits at St. Louis office
Develop and shape new ways of producing and exploiting foundation GEOINT products and content
Contribute advanced technical knowledge and capabilities to campaigns resulting in development, implementation and improvement of new and existing solutions and services
Work with a team of analysts, developers and systems engineers to optimize production, exploitation and dissemination of standard and prototype GEOINT products, content and services
Develop innovative tools, scripts, workflows and solutions that leverage existing GEOINT for advanced analysis/understanding and creation of new product offerings
Rapid prototype new solutions in response to customer requirements and work with developers and system engineers to realize production ready versions of the solutions
Typical Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required education: Bachelor's Degree
Advanced knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS for Desktop suite (10.x)
Experience extending the ArcGIS suite via ArcObjects or Python
Thorough knowledge of standard and non-standard GEOINT products and content
Advanced geo-processing knowledge for development of data comparison, data analysis, and exploitation tools and approaches
Working knowledge of data integration/conflation and spatial ETL processes.
Experience with use and customization of ESRI extensions including: 3D Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, Network Analyst, WMX/TAM and Defense/Production Mapping
Ability to work independently in developing creative solutions
Ability to work and communicate well with management, customers and other stakeholders including clear and concise presentation/demonstration of advanced technical concepts
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
In depth knowledge of DOD data standards as well as Open Source data standards
Excellent presentation skills (both speaking and writing)
Eight years of directly related mapping experience required
Preferred Skills and Education
Knowledge of current and emerging GIS and GEOINT trade craft and content management approaches.
Familiarity with NGA content management domain, architecture, schemas and mission.
Familiarity with Open data sources
General knowledge of various geospatial software suites (ex: ERDAS, GXP, ENVI, Esri, FME, Hexagon, Boundless, QGIS).
Experience with ArcSDE (10.x) and ArcGIS for Server (10.x).
Working Knowledge of ArcGIS Pro
Working Knowledge of ArcGIS API for Python
Experience with various database solutions including Sql server, Oracle and PostGIS
Knowledge of Safe Software FME, or other ETL translation and conflation software solutions.
Understanding of or experience with Graph databases
Knowledge of Open Geospatial Standards including: Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Map Service (WMS), and Web Coverage Service (WCS), Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) and extensions for Catalogue Service (CSW) and Web Processing Service (WPS)
Understanding of raster data formats, which may include: commercial imagery, panchromatic, small-sat and SAR data as well as experience in image exploitation and automated image processing and classification.
Advanced degree, secondary degree, or certification in GEOINT sciences (remote sensing, GIS, photogrammetry, etc.).
