Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a Sr. Technical Capture Manager for it's Business in artificial intelligence and machine learning. In this role ,you will work all phases business capture, proposal development, program execution, research lead, people management of cutting edge R&D efforts. Primary emphasis on the development of new and existing customer relationships at DARPA, AFRL, ONR, NRL, and the Intelligence Community(IC) in areas relating to anticipatory intelligence and adaptive sensor data exploitation applications.

TheSpecial Activities eXploitation(SAX) directorate is a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary research and engineering organization that is the FAST Labs lead for invention and application of innovative machine learning, control, and optimization approaches to learn patterns of behavior from a wide range of data sources, including real-time sensor feeds. Exploitation uses of these behavioral models include anomaly and change detection, prediction of future behavior, and recognition of complex events and activities. Applications of our technology include terrestrial, maritime, and space domains over a range of sensing modalities (e.g., radar, full motion video, radio communication) spanning the technology readiness spectrum from basic research through fielded operational systems. Additionally you will:

Lead capture efforts, to include: working with cross functional teams in multiple groups to develop overall win strategies, shaping with customers, assessing customer requirements, competitor strategies and performing PTW analysis process.

Serve as the Proposal manager captures covering a variety of customers, to include DARPA, AFRL, ONR, NRL and various IC customers.

Capture new Science and Technology (S&T) business >$1M

Provide project management reporting and documentation

Manage project tasks (resource allocation and scheduling) for small/medium groups (1-10)

This position can be based out of our Burlington, MA or Reston,VA facilities, though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Active Secret clearance, TS/SCI eligibility

  • Proficiency developing new business opportunities and supporting technical presentations and proposal efforts

  • Demonstrated experience cultivating relationships with new and existing customers interested in our product line.

  • Experience shaping, capturing, and managing sponsored S&T programs and portfolios at one or more of the following: AFRL, DARPA, ONR, NRL, the Intelligence Community, Special Operations Communities >$1M

  • Strong experience presenting to technical audiences and directly interacting with customers to understand their requirements and guide research and development efforts to meet their needs

  • Ability to work with internal and external collaborators to form a winning team

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Shipley Business Development certification

  • Prior experience leading successful DARPA proposals
