BAE Systems Management Analyst in Quantico, Virginia

Job Description

The Management Analyst primarily serves as analysts and advisors to management on the evaluationof the effectiveness of government programs and operations or the productivity andefficiency of the management of Federal agencies. The MA shall have knowledge of:the substantive nature of agency programs and activities; agency missions, policies, andobjectives; management principles and processes; and the analytical and evaluativemethods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and improvingorganizational effectiveness and efficiency. The MA shall have an understanding ofbasic budgetary and financial management principles and techniques as they relate tolong range planning of programs and objectives. The MA shall have skill in applicationof fact finding and investigative techniques; oral and written communications; anddevelopment of presentations and reports. The MA shall support the unit with otherduties as assigned within the scope of work.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

This is a mid-level position. At a minimum, the individual shall have five (5) plus yearsof experience as a Management Analyst.

At a minimum, the Management Analyst mid-level, shall have demonstrated experience


Manage annual balance sheet

Track and report status of requisition packages throughout the acquisition

Provide logistics support to program management team

Provide Technical writing skills on document requirements for technical componentsof supported systems

Provide customer/contract liaison support

Provide lifecycle management for components

Conduct market research/contract liaison support

Conduct market research on hardware/software

Prepare pre-award documentation, accruals and other procurement documentation

Generate requirements documentation for services, supplies, and equipment

Provide contract administration when required to ensure that services, equipment,and supplies are distributed effectively

Develop acquisition documentation and requirements documents in preparation forreview

Develop and review program and contract price estimates and life cycle priceestimates

Provide acquisition planning

Conduct analysis on work procedures and recommends changes to improve theeffectiveness of the organization's management

Provide management with studies on ways to increase efficiency

Conduct market research for hardware and software

Familiar with a variety of the IT concepts, practices, and procedures

Competence in applying knowledge of administrative principles, practices, andtechniques

Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Provide logistics support

Provide customer liaison support
