BAE Systems Senior Cyber Security Integration Engineer in Norfolk, Virginia

Job Description

The Senior Security Integration Engineer position is located on Naval Station Norfolk. The selected candidate will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in providing integration support of various enterprise cyber security capabilities with NAVFAC Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Platform Enclaves (PE).

Typical duties and responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain and integrate various enterprise cybersecurity tools and provide integration support to NAVFAC

  • Monitor system performance to support capacity planning

  • Implement and monitor system backups and disaster recovery

  • Troubleshoot network and operating system problems

  • Support architecture design analysis for technology refresh planning and implementation and evaluating

  • Effectively communicating complex system problem identification and resolution with other technical and non-technical individuals from within the company, other contractors, and Government customers.

  • Maintains awareness of and participate in planning and execution of upgrades and patches for operating systems and COTS cybersecurity software/tools

  • Creates and maintain multiple virtual server systems based on VMware

  • Provides user support and troubleshooting.

  • Examination, testing and deployment of operating systems, and software patches/updates

  • Recommend techniques to enforce compliance with the information system security procedures for cybersecurity

This position is located in Norfolk, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Norfolk or surrounding areas.

Typical Education & Experience

High School and at least 8 years of IT system security experience OR Associate degree and at least 6 years of IT system security experience OR Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of IT system security experience

Required Skills and Education

High School and at least 8 years of IT system security experience OR Associate degree and at least 6 years of IT system security experience OR Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of IT system security experience

CISSP or CASP certification (or the ability to acquire certification within 6 months)

Cybersecurity integration with ICS technologies

Windows server 2012 R2 administration

Active security clearance and ability to maintain
