BAE Systems Tac Air OPM II in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for executing all of the manufacturing activities in the Canal Street location in support of the Tac Air product line. You will have a small group of direct reports including Test Techs, a process engineer and a product engineer who will be responsible for loading software, testing and troubleshooting assemblies in support of the sales and contract needs on the various programs that make up the Tac Air product line.

This job will require you to interface with engineering on a regular basis as new products are developed and matured. This individual must be able to understand both the production needs as well as the engineering development needs in order to assure that test stands and assets are matured in a timely manner, have adequate capacity, are maintained and that work is prioritized in such a manner that all needs are satisfied.

Daily tasks include:

  • Managing daily priorities

  • Assuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained to support work in the factory

  • Assuring compliance to all quality requirements

  • Setting employee objectives and establishing cross training and development plans

  • Interface with engineering and the program team to manage the product flow of field returns

  • Manage factory test stand capacity to support production, field returns and engineering development work

  • Interface with quality and the customer as required for product sell off

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Must have active Secret clearance issued or renewed within the last 5 years

-Technical Degree or proven technical experience and knowledge

-Experience with analyzing and managing program material and

build cost

-Experience with quality improvement and able to identify and

drive defect reduction opportunities-?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = "O" /->-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->

-Clearly be able to articulate priorities and provide concise

direction to include writing and presentation skills

Preferred Skills and Education

Experience in at least one of the following, if not all: supply chain, manufacturing and/or process engineering

experience with Microsoft Excel, DSS, iPortal, PDM, Solumina, Data View applications
