BAE Systems Supplier Engineer in Nashua, New Hampshire
BAE Systems is seeking a Supplier Engineer (SE) for its off-the-shelf electronic commodities including semiconductors, passives, connectors, electro-mechanical, RF and miscellaneous electronics commodities. The SE will verify accuracy of supplier bids against BAE Systems drawings. Additionally, the SE will validate the accuracy of manufacturers information on components in these commodities quoted by our Preferred Distribution Suppliers and contained in the BAE Systems database. The candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively communicate and take action on inaccuracies when identified.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor s degree in an engineering or technical field from an accredited university and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills and Education
Ability to read/interpret Mil-Specs, ASTM/DIN / ANSI Standards, QPL/QML Specifications.
Experience resolving parts issues with manufacturers, authorized suppliers, and internal customers.
Familiarity with databases and subscription services (PDM, IHS/Parts Universe, MS software, Dataview).
Knowledge of Cage Code search.
Technical capabilities including knowledge of 2D blueprints and model drawings.
Disciplined approach to problem solving.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and report writing.
Experience with sharing information and influencing others, (strong written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise cross functionally, internally and externally, make presentations to team members and management).
Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods (like design of experiments, Six Sigma, etc.)
Component Engineering/component qualification experience.
Understanding of the product lifecycle of Electronic Components (Diminished Material System).
