BAE Systems Reliability Engineer II in Nashua, New Hampshire
This position is responsible for performing reliability, maintainability, safety, human factors and testability engineering tasks. The Reliability Engineer II will perform the following:
Performs reliability tasks like reliability predictions, electrical stress analysis, Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), reliability test plans and procedures, perform reliability growth calculations and Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS). Learn Design for Reliability (DfR) techniques and apply them on applicable programs.
Performs maintainability analysis tasks like maintainability predictions, task analysis, preventive maintenance analysis.
Performs safety analysis tasks like Preliminary Hazards Analysis (PHA), build safety cases, lab safety audits, Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) and other safety related tasks.
As an individual contributor or team member, actively participate in the RMS analysis activities and work with mentors and peers to learn how to perform the different analyses.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience or a Master's Degree
Required Skills and Education
BS or MS in Engineering or scientific field
Preferred Skills and Education
Electronic Warfare System background preferred, but not required.
RMS analysis and reliability growth software tools experience/ awareness using Windchill Quality Solutions (RELEX) and ReliaSoft preferred.
Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and Root Cause Failure Analysis experience desired.
Skills to enable to work in a team environment.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership experience preferred.
