This opportunity reports into the Manager of a Manufacturing Product Assurance Team, that is part of a Zero Defects focused Quality Organization.

Job Description:

This job function, develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment, and conducts quality assurance tests. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.

Activities:

Work under the direction of the manager to perform audits, inspections, and perform preventative and corrective actions.

Create Quality Plans for Products and Processes.

Create quality documents that provide data to manufacturing and customers.

Review of audits/data and develop corrective and preventative action plans.

Retrieve quality data and communicate results/status with BAE Systems/customer to drive continual improvements.

Some travel (<5%) may be required based on events that require support.

Physical Environment:

Repetitive movement of hands and fingers (i.e., frequent computer use, typing and writing). Frequent sitting. Indoor office environment and/or laboratory environment (potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, odors, hot/cold depending on location). Moving items of up to 50 lbs and lifting to a height of 3 to 4 feet is potentially required (frequency by exact position).

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Lean Six-Sigma certification (belt certified)

  • Certified quality engineer

  • Active Secret Clearance
