Quality Assurance Engineer Factory Support 2 nd Shift Manufacturing Product Assurance Micro Electronics Electro Mechanical

BAE Systems is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer Factory Support 2nd Shift

The Quality Assurance Engineer position will be an Individual Contributor within the Quality Manufacturing Product Assurance (MPA) QAE Team. Primary Focus is directly associated with Product Build, Assembly, Inspection and Test (AIT) Factory Support and Compliance Audits

The job scope of the MPA QAE includes but are not limited to:

  • Hands On Support to the Quality Inspection Staff

  • Support to Program / Project Personnel

  • Understanding of Defense Electronics Manufacturing

  • Quality and Workmanship Requirements

  • IPC 610 Certification

  • J Std 001

  • Mil Std 883

  • Micro Electronics Hybrid Mfg

  • Non Conforming Material Control

  • Process Improvement Perspective

  • Product Process Verification (PPV)

  • First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102

  • Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

  • Production Part Approval Process ( PPAP)

  • Data Mining / Extraction / compilation / Chart & Graph Turning Data into Action oriented Information

  • Attend and Contribute to Factory Corrective Action Boards (CABs)

  • Conduct Effective Audits

  • Effective communication

  • Understand and react to Program Requirements flow down (Contract / Specification /Statement of Work)

  • Ability to review product related documentation (Product Drawings, BOMs, Manufacturing Control Specification, Assembly Processes)

  • Experience with Root Cause / Corrective Action analysis

  • Support integration of Zero Defect Culture

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline 5 years of experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience performing quality engineering work on high-tech electronics.

  • Mil Std 883Micro Electronics Hybrid Mfg

  • IPC-610 Certified

  • Ability to read Technical Drawings Blue Prints and Parts lists

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Demonstrated Responsibilities within Quality Organization in LRU / LRM / Electronic Assy Mfg environment-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->

  • Mil Std 883Micro Electronics Hybrid Mfg

  • ASQ Certification(s)

  • FAI / PPV / PFMEA / PPAP demonstrated working experience and demonstrated knowledge

  • ANSI 14.5 GD&T Certified
