Job Description

BAE Systems Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Business Area is seeking an experienced Program Manager reporting to the Advanced Electronic Warfare Solutions (AEWS) Product Area Director within the Integrated Electronic Warfare Solutions (IEWS) Product Line. The PM ensures achievement of financial, schedule, technical and supply chain program management goals, including Zero Defect planning and execution, for programs while driving for customer satisfaction.

The PM leads the team through initiation, organization, planning, and execution of Programs in accordance with specific program security requirements, the AEWS critical success factors and company processes while proactively managing risks and opportunities. The PM oversees the establishment of program controls, procedures and guidelines for daily operation of the assigned programs, and directs preparation, execution and revision of the program plan. The PM directs and monitors ongoing work products for compliance to security requirements, customer work statements, requirements, specifications and quality assurance standards. The successful candidate will collaborate across the AEWS portfolio of programs as necessary.

The PM keeps upper management informed on program execution and any technical, cost, schedule, risk, or contractual issues within assigned programs. The PM is responsible to establish, maintains and promote customer relationships, ensuring coordination of tasks with customer representatives and informing customers on status and progress.

The PM will also support new business initiatives up to and including leading capture activities.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Demonstrated program/project management skills or equivalent

Preferred Skills and Education

Demonstrated leadership skills (strategic thinking, business acumen, supervisory experience, building teams, building customer relationships)

Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Significant experience with customer/stakeholder communication, management, relationship building, and customer satisfaction

Demonstrated mastery of Program Management, Life-Cycle Management and Risk & Opportunity Management

Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates

Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively build and lead teams
