BAE Systems Principal Software Engineer in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a Software Engineer to lead technical development work in areas ranging from design, verification, and test. The Software Engineer should have a proven management/leadership background and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, and deploying complex software applications. Duties will include leading a team in the design and development of software methodology, automated test procedures, test software/middleware, integration and test processes. The Software Engineer will work with cross functional teams following established BAE Systems design and test processes.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with at least eight years of experience

Project management and team management experience

Understanding of test architectures and software abstractions

Strong communications and presentations skills

Preferred Skills and Education

Scripting and programming language familiarity preferred: C, C , C#, LINUX shells

Familiarity with embedded engineering applications

Familiarity with digital logic design and implementation

Working experience with LabView, Test Stand, Visual Studio or equivalent

Related Support: Test Method Development, Test Plan/Procedure/Requirements Development, Data/File Transfer, Schematic Interpretation, Hardware Driver Development, Software Driver Development, FPGA Programming

Experience with cost management (Project Manager / Control Account Manager (CAM)) including earned value metrics, such as CPI and SPI

Knowledge of US Department of Defense product development
