BAE Systems Open Architecture Systems Engineer in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

Support open architecture efforts for military airborne systems within our Electronic Systems sector. The candidate will support the develop and maintenance of open architecture standards in a collaborative, consortium-type environments. Lead selected subgroups or investigations where BAE Systems expertise can add value. Evaluate candidate architectural approaches and changes against BAE Systems products to identify areas of concern and improvement.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Support working group meetings (via telecon, VTC, and in person) to define, refine and maintain elements of the open architecture and documentation.

Work comfortably with engineering/management personnel from the customer and competimate community, and be able to represent BAE Systems

Be able to develop a network across BAE Systems to tap into subject matter experts as needed, and to be able to represent our broad range of capabilities,

Proposal technical lead for followon and related efforts.

Have experience with multiple aircraft architectures. Experience with software integration on large platforms preferred.

Be familiar with various software architectural middle ware such as DDS and ActiveMQ.

Be familiar with open architecture standards such as OMS, UCI, FACE, Victory, and SOSA.

Have experience using UML, SysML and or DODAF diagrams for architectural and behavioral modeling.

Have experience working new business development.

Preferred Skills and Education

Experience with the following tools is a plus:

IBM Rational Rhapsody, MagicDraw, or equivalent.


XML editing using XMLSpy or equivalent




Active Secret Clearance or TS
