Job Description

Supporting our Second Shift works in the Microelectronics capability training area. Provides direction and capability training to newly hired Microwave team members on the techniques and processes of various microelectronics steps. Provides feedback to the trainees and supervisors as to the trainee's progress as well as decision making regarding transition timing to the shop floor

The candidate will manage and improve an experienced based training program for microelectronic hardware manufactured in a military quality level environment inclusive of manual epoxy substrate attach, MMIC handling, epoxy die attach, wire/wedge thermosonic bonding and thermo-compression welding. The candidate will also be required to train individuals in Class Zero ESD procedures and how to work in a cleanroom environment. The candidate will maintain/improve current training documentation in the above listed skills.

Required Skills and Education

Able to train newly hired team members to performs a variety of complex functional and operational steps on microelectronic assemblies in accordance with generally established procedures and data sheets. Hands on experience inclusive of manual die attach, epoxy dispense, types of microelectronic packaging, MMIC handling, MIl-STD-883 criteria, Solumina and other training material as required.

Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Concepts a plus

Preferred Skills and Education

Requires an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years of directly related experience.
