Job Description

BAE Systems has positions open for a process performance analyst for their Microelectronics factories located at Spitbrook Road in Nashua, NH. The primary function of this position is to lead the Corrective Action Board {CAB} for the Integrated Electronic Warfare {IEWS} product line, the Tactical Aircraft EW Solutions {TacAir} product line, and the LOTac {Low Observable Tactical EW Solutions} product line. The product lines are part of the Electronic Combat Solutions {ECS} business unit in the Electronic Systems {ES} sector. The products in question are chip & wire microelectronics assemblies that function in RF frequency ranges. These modules are assembled into Electronic Warfare systems which support both the IEWS and TacAir product lines.

In this role, you will perform the following tasks:

  • Conduct weekly and monthly analysis of yields and defects for the module assembly processes & prepare a weekly PowerPoint presentation summarizing the prior week performance to meet the requirements listed in the BAE documents for CAB/CARB

  • Convey the prior week performance in a weekly meeting with the process engineers and factory management using the prepared PowerPoint.

  • Maintain and status the SharePoint action list associated with the process performance improvement requirements reviewed in CAB

  • Highlight trends, positive or negative, as indicated by the data so that corrective action can be initiated

  • Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities shown by the data

  • Work to understand the product characteristics of and military specifications for chip & wire microelectronics products along with the assembly process challenges to better understand the yield and defect data

  • Opportunity exists to evolve how the data is visually presented for a more meaningful delivery using dashboards or other methods of visual presentation

  • Identify and communicate opportunities for Black/Green Belt projects as suggested by the data

  • Opportunity to be involved in root cause and corrective action projects as needed

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • The ability to write Excel macros of medium complexity and work with pivot tables; more extensive Visual Basic skills a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

  • Some experience in data analysis for identification of areas that need focus or improvement

  • Public speaking skills as required for the position

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner

  • Demonstrate leadership necessary to support the manufacturing team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence diverse work teams

  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage tasks

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Bachelor s degree in an applicable field and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Minitab, JMP, Tableau, and Sharepoint is a plus.

  • Experience with process improvement and change management initiatives

  • Lean manufacturing exposure; Lean six sigma green belt certification a plus

  • Exposure to or experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) a plus
