BAE Systems Engineering 1 Process Amp Line in Nashua, New Hampshire
This position will have full process responsibility for all product moving through a specific work cell in our Microelectronics Manufacturing Factory located in the AMP Center that produce Microwave and Millimeterwave products for military-grade aerospace products. Principle focus will be on delivering solid process engineering support to our workforce. Process coverage could include support of the SRO solder attach work cell as well as the Manual Assembly operation within the AMP Line. It could also include automatic epoxy dispensing and pick and place processes utilizing automatic equipment supplied by MRSI. The successful candidate will work with a team of process engineers that will provide Non-Recurring Engineering support, day-to-day production support, tooling concepts, and continuous improvement in one of the best equipped Microelectronics Factories to be found anywhere. Cost reduction activity will also be a necessary element that will help some of our programs realize cost savings that will allow them to meet cost objectives.
Monitors daily production activities and recommends product and process improvements to enhance the efficiency of operations and develops manufacturing routings and work instructions and flow charts, and applies labor standards required to support the product build cycle.
Defines and specifies the requirement for assembly tooling, fixtures and equipment to support manufacturing operations; participates in Corrective Action Board (CAB) and dispositions discrepant material. Performs Preliminary Material Review/Material Review Board (PMR/MRB) for the disposition of discrepant material and determination of root cause/corrective action.
Provides technical assistance in the transitioning of designs to the manufacturing phase for product and process capability; monitors designs for compliance to design rules, and procedures in order to provide consistency in designs and manufacturing process. Applies known Mil-Std-883 knowledge to new designs and optimizes process performance.
Plans and monitors special evaluation programs on assemblies, components special processes, etc. due to design changes and/or problems developed during the manufacturing cycle; reviews, analyzes, and obtains corrective action on all customer problems.
Performs quality audits to determine the effectiveness of the Quality Program and prepares audit reports.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelors degree in a technical field
Previous experience in process/manufacturing engineering in an electronics industry
Manufacturing work where microscopes are routinely used
Program of automated assembly equipment
Creation and modification of assembly instructions
Tooling and fixture design
Preferred Skills and Education
Applicable experience in a Microelectronics factory is highly desired. Engineering experience in a production environment supporting the manufacturing of a complex assembly would be considered.
Product knowledge using epoxy component attach and high temperature solders, thermo-sonic wire and ribbon bonding, substrate attach using film epoxy, and other elements of Microelectronics manufacturing technology also desired.
Familiarity with Electrostatic Sensitive Device (ESD) class zero, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention techniques.
