BAE Systems Design Drafting Summer Intern in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

The Electronic Systems Hardware Engineering Department is seeking candidates for 2018 Design Drafting summer internships supporting all aspects of the engineering development and manufacturing lifecycle. The intern will perform professional technical work which is specific in nature and requires knowledge and application of basic Design Drafting principles, theories and concepts to complete assignments under direct technical supervision.

Roles and Responsibilities may include:

  • Prepares various parts list and drawings of components and assemblies, including mechanical and electrical.

  • Prepares drawings with multiple views, dimensions, notes and material to define end item products.

  • Generation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) along with affected drawings and Parts Lists using a product data management system.

  • Maintain individual CAD files and logs.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Skills and Education

  • Currently attending a technical college, pursuing a Degree and Career in Design and Drafting

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.

  • Eligible for DOD Security Clearance

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Knowledge of Creo Parametrics, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 and all supporting documentation

  • Knowledge of aerospace materials and specifications

  • Familiar with military specifications
