BAE Systems Business Process Analyst in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

BAE Systems Electronic Systems is seeking a Business Process Analyst with a technical writing skill set to support Sector-level Continuous Process Improvement and documentation systems based in Nashua, New Hampshire. The candidate will become a member of the Operations Systems and Processes Team in support of a range of Operations assigments. The subject matter is centered around Achieving Operational Excellence within the Nashua, New Hampshire manufacturing and supply chain groups.


The candidate will help identify opportunities for operational improvements, and initiate, develop and provide support to recommendations for strategic and tactical solutions. The candidate will work with the team to develop creative solutions that help the team achieve its Achieving Operational Excellence goals and objectives.

The candidate will establish relationships with and empower collaboration among all of their stakeholders within Operations and adjacent functional groups. The candidate will also assist with establishing the foundation for organizational learning of process improvement concepts in a dynamic work environment.

The candidate will help the stakeholders improve their outcomes by supporting and initiating efforts for the collection, analysis, and reporting of metrics as well as supporting the process improvements by helping to develop and document the results.


  1. Write and edit descriptive interface and procedural documentation including process and policy documents, user guides, work instructions, technical reports, and other types of technical documentation.

  2. Researches illustration approaches to determine how best to utilize graphics to support written documentation.

  3. Requests creation of new illustrations/graphics or changes to existing graphics/illustrations.

  4. Reviews existing materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.

  5. Researches and consults with engineers and subject matter experts on systems and equipment to create and revise technical documentation.

  6. Analyzes and interprets technical data to translate information in to technical documentation.

  7. Validates deliverables for accuracy, readability, and usability.

  8. May interface with Document Repository customers on document content and technical issues.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education


  1. Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience with at least 3 years of hands on technical-writing experience, prefer manufacturing or supply chain experience and process familiarity.

  2. Exceptional written/verbal communication, listening, organizational, interpersonal, research, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Will be developing and delivering project status presentations with Senior Leadership.

  3. Proven ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner.

  4. Must have proven ability to be a change agent within an organization

  5. Ability to work independently demonstrate initiative, and multi-task in a dynamic environment.

  6. Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing, supply chain and quality terminology and concepts is preferred.

  7. Creative approach to problem-solving; ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view

  8. Strong interpersonal skills including collaborating and communicating with team members

  9. Strong attention to detail and work quality; ability to review and deliver high-quality documentation

  10. Experience drafting process documentation, e.g., procedures, workflow diagrams

  11. Must be fluent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing Documentation of Processes
