BAE Systems IT Cybersecurity Analyst in Mount Laurel, New Jersey
BAE Systems is seeking an entry-level Information Technology Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team of diverse engineers and technologists. This position will be located in Mount Laurel, NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together! The qualified candidate will provide IT Cybersecurity support within the System Engineering (SE) AEGIS Computing Infrastructure (ACI) Element involving the integration of the AEGIS Weapon System with Ballistic Missile Defense functionality in an AEGIS Combat System environment.
The candidate's primary role will involve support of the AEGIS TECHREP Systems Engineering / Cybersecurity customer located in Moorestown, NJ.
The major duties and responsibilities may include:
Interface directly with various organizations security teams to evaluate cybersecurity implementation, and report using provided tools to advise stakeholders on a best course of action
Provide analysis of documentation, requirements, test procedures, and cyber related artifacts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for comment generation
Participate in working security group activities and product development meetings to ensure requirements are met according to standards
Participate in test events to oversee the implementation of test plans, procedures and report on any anomalies observed (Test events range from 8hour-25 hour events; Run in shifts of personnel)
Candidate must be technically adept, possess excellent oral and written skills and must be able to work independently when required. Generally, work hours are standard, but some second and/or third shift hours may be required. The position may occasionally involve travel to customer sites.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or equivalent
U.S. Citizen and eligible for DOD Secret Security Clearance
Knowledge of Information Technology and Networking
Knowledge of Cybersecurity / Information Security
IAT Level II Certification, Security or ability to obtain within three months of hire
Preferred Skills and Education
United States Navy experience
Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
Working knowledge/ability with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of System Administration and Computer Languages / Scripting (Python, Java, C , BASH)
System Authorization and Accreditation experience in alignment with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) / DIACAP process implementation, assessment and documentation
Knowledge of Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
Strong understanding National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) special publications including, but not limited to SP 800-37, SP 800-53 rev4
Knowledge of Modern Vulnerability Management System (eg. Tenable Nessus Security Center or equivalent)
IAT Level I Certification, including A and Network
IAT Level II Certification, including Security ;
IAT- III (CASP or CISSP)
