BAE Systems Logistics/Technical Publications Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Under general supervision of the Gun Systems Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM) assists in planning, managing, developing, and reviewing logistics products for Gun Systems programs with special emphasis on technical documentation. Ensures logistics products meet customer requirements, deadlines, and cost requirements and contain technically accurate and adequate information.
Assists in managing the master schedules of multiple projects to achieve budget and on-time delivery requirements in an environment of changing workload, priorities, and deadlines.
Interprets and communicates contract specifications and customer requirements to ensure products meet contract requirements.
Reviews published materials including maintenance manuals, user manuals, installation instructions, technical reports, repair standards, and Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) and recommends revisions or changes in format and content.
Interfaces with engineers and subject matter experts on systems and equipment to ensure documents are accurate and adequate.
Assists in the preparation of Logistics cost estimates in support of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Assists in the development of weapon systems maintenance support concepts and plans and the identification of spares. Assists with the consideration and incorporation of weapon system maintenance concepts into the design of diagnostics and prognostics.
Assists in the planning and execution of logistics documentation products. This includes but is not limited to parts provisioning, technical manuals, and technical manual validation.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Work requires a high level of educational development and/or professional level of knowledge in Integrated Logistics Support with a strong emphasis on Navy technical manuals normally acquired by completing a Bachelor s degree in engineering or technical communications.
A minimum of four year s related experience to obtain comprehensive knowledge of technical manuals and Integrated Logistics Support concepts and products.
Strong technical publications knowledge and familiarity with Navy publication standards and specifications.
A high level of analytical ability to resolve technical and managerial-related problems.
A high level of communication skills to interact and mentor functional Logistics staff members.
Strong problem-solving skills.
