We are seeking RF Systems Engineers with experience in the architecture design, development and operation of space hardware and/or payloads for government and defense applications. Successful candidates will be part of our team that is developing and expanding our space payload business in support of important national defense requirements. This is a rapidly emerging growth area for the company, and seasoned engineers with the right skills will participate in the formation of this innovative and expanding product line. The position offers the opportunity to participate in a full lifecycle of program development, from CONOPS definition through deployment and product support.

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills:

  • Strong background in RF concepts, digital receivers and single board processors

  • Strong background in embedded software/firmware based systems

  • Familiarity with basic communications, radar, and/or optical theory

  • Familiarity with security concepts for program/product protection

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor degree or higher in engineering or scientific field

  • RF Payload Systems experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Geolocation techniques

  • End-to-end performance analyses

  • Mission signal environments, Radar / Comms

  • Payload Architectures

  • Design: Antennas/RF, IF, Analog and Digital

  • Integrated RF Payload design experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Algorithms, Probability of Intercept, Signal ID

  • Instantaneous Bandwidth, Spur Free Dynamic Range, Sensitivity

  • Post and Pre-D Processing, Channelization, Parameter Measurement

  • Interference Mitigation, Real Time Modulation Analysis

  • Space qualification of flight hardware

  • Experience with MATLAB / Simulink System Models for Radar and Comms operations

  • Familiarity in Model Based Engineering (MBE) techniques

  • Familiarity with emerging software frameworks for space payloads

  • Familiarity with space vehicles and space mission operations

  • Familiarity with ground stations and ground processing

  • Master s degree or PhD in engineering or scientific field
