BAE Systems Senior Software Engineer in Merrimack, New Hampshire

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking talented Software engineers who are looking for an opportunity to excel and flourish in a dynamic and challenging environment, working with some of the latest technologies and architectures. You will be an integrated team member collaborating with System, Hardware, and Test engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration and Testing. You will apply your skills to develop high-quality software for ground based space systems. Responsibilities will include the development of software enhancements and new capabilities to existing operational systems. As well as, the support and maintenance to these same systems. All code is developed in a Linux development environment for Linux based platforms utilizing Java. Operational and test systems utilize COTS hardware running the latest hardened versions of Red Hat Linux. There may be opportunities to manage and lead small teams (1-3) of software engineers, along with opportunities to brief customers during external reviews and travel to customer locations throughout the world to see your software in operation. Position requires a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
