BAE Systems Quality Director I in Merrimack, New Hampshire

Will locate at the Optical EW Systems (OEWS) Product Line in Merrimack, NH, one hour from Boston, MA.
The role is responsible for the effective quality performance of Optical EW Systems (OEWS) (OEWS) Product Line (quality assurance, continuous process improvement, and lifecycle management) technology, applications, process, and people resources with the Survivability, Targeting & Sensing Solutions (STS) Business Area.
In this position you will work closely with Product Line Managers, other Program Quality Professionals and BAE Systems counterparts to provide value-added solutions in concert with Zero Defect plans and support toward achieving near term goals, longer term strategic objectives, and compliance to federal, state and local statutes.
Primary duties include:
Provide direction, supervision, and guidance of program quality team to ensure alignment with customer requirements, quality policy, strategic objectives and organizational goals
Collaborate with management for planning, execution, and oversight of process improvements, projects of special interest, and Product Line or Business Area related initiatives.
Formulate and approve policies and procedures in lifecycle management, customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and process improvement.
Lead quality product line teams to determine strategy and tactical deployment, improve performance (using Six Sigma tools), lower costs, and generate innovative solutions within the Product Line and Business Area.
Interface with internal and external customers on root cause and corrective actions.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's Degree and 12 yearsproject, program, portfolio quality leadership and management in commercial, automotive, or aerospace & defense hardware and software technology
Green Belt Trained/Certified
Preferred Skills and Education
Technical MS and MBA degrees
Familiar with AS9100 / AS9102
