Project finance plans, controls, and reports program performance relating to cost and schedule according to the Earned Value Management System. Project finance is a well-rounded role that introduces an employee to the various facets of BAE Systems finance.

The Low Observable Tactical Aircraft Electronic Warfare (LO TacAir EW) Product Line within the Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Business Area is seeking a highly motivated Project Financial Analyst Senior to join the EW Sustainment Project Finance team. The EW Sustainment portfolio consists of 50 active contracts (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Type and T&M) supporting multiple platforms (F-35, F-22 & Legacy). Contracts range in size (less than $2M to $155M) and complexity, with the overall portfolio projecting to deliver $140M of revenue in 2018 and $1B over the five year Integrated Business Plan (IBP).

The selected analyst will report to the Finance Manager for EW Sustainment and provide support to meet or exceed the LO TacAir EW Finance objectives. These objectives include producing accurate work products in support of established deadlines, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork, supporting improvement initiatives, growing the portfolio through strong program performance and new captures, and delivering the Operating Plan.

The analyst must possess strong financial analysis and problem solving skills, be detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing tasks. In addition, he/she must have the ability to work independently in a cross-functional team environment and utilize strong communication skills to interface with Program Managers, Functional Leads, Control Account Mangers, Operations Program Managers and Product Line / Business Area Leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cross-functional collaboration through support of team meetings and reviews

  • Supporting program management in financial aspects of the program, such as baselining, forecasting, reporting, and quarterly reporting

  • Working with the contracts department for funding, billings, and other contractual items

  • Creating and maintaining program baselines through earned value management

  • Reviewing and monitoring program risks and opportunities, such as cost overruns and scheduling delays

  • Collaborating with all functions to update financial forecast and estimates at completion

  • Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements both internally and externally

  • Proposal support through pricing basis of estimates and compiling cost volumes as needed

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related degree / equivalent experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse work teams
