BAE Systems Program Manager III in Merrimack, New Hampshire

Job Description

  • Support the STS Business Area through the development of objectives, plans and measures for the STS Growth Cell team.

  • Collaborate with the STS Product Line Directors and Functional Directors to identify gaps and adjacencies that are best pursued through the Growth Cell.

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the STS work allocation strategy and associated Capital and Facilities plans.

  • Support the ongoing refinement of the STS business area strategy and plans to achieve it.

  • Apply disciplined methods to develop understanding of critical stakeholders goals.

  • Coordinate and manage assigned project(s) to meet project objectives/commitments within cost and schedule budgets.

  • Review and monitor metrics on the projects and provide support as required to the STS Business Leadership Team.

  • Manage risks and opportunities.

  • Conduct LCM reviews as required.

  • Actively manage the talent within your assigned area to the benefit of the STS business as well as the benefit of the individual employees.

  • Make strategic decisions in a fast paced environment

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Develop strategic work distribution model for the STS business. Elements of this role will include:

  • Build alignment across the STS business stakeholders.

  • Develop facility requirements to support the STS strategy.

  • Liase with Sector Facilities team to deliver the required space/capacity.

  • Integrate a capital equipment plan aligned with the space/facility plan.

  • Support the program transitions consistent with the strategy.

  • Coordinate an integrated communications plan.

  • Ensure delivery of the facilities, equipment and manpower resources to deliver the IBP.

Knowledge: manages subordinate management and/or experience specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independence, often heading one or more departments, or acts as a recognized expert, consultant and advisor for division, group and corporate management and customer personnel.

Impact: decisions have an extended impact on work processes and outcomes.

Liaison: interacts frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications. Leads briefings and meetings for internal and external representative.

10 years of experience with MS or 12 years of experience with BS
