Job Description

BAE Systems in Manassas is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the Space line of business for the Electronic Solutions sector. BAE Systems Space products can be found present on almost all of commercial, civil and national security space missions for the past 20 years; including GPS, weather monitoring, satellite TV and radio, exploring the universe; most notably the Mars rovers and missions to protect those who protect us. From semiconductor components to ASICS to Circuit Card Assemblies and Sub-Systems, our products are ubiquitous throughout Earth s orbit and beyond.

The engineer in this position will design digital circuit cards and sub-systems for space missions. Assigned tasks will include:

  • Requirement Definition/Evaluation

  • Specification/Design Documentation

  • Schematic Capture

  • Layout/Routing

  • Design Analysis ensuring full compliance to specifications and applicable guidelines

  • Test Support

  • Customer Support

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education


  • BS/MS Electrical Engineering

  • coursework background in high-speed digital and/or analog circuit board design

  • strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly motivated
