Job Description

The HR Business Partner for the Weapon Systems US business located in Louisville, KY will support Human Resource initiatives with significant focus, on a set of HR projects to include; Human Capital Management, Talent Management, Intern Program, New Hire Orientation and Onboarding, and other projects as assigned.Provide HR Business Partner support for various functions in the areas of succession planning, talent management, compensation, benefits, EEO, and/or training and development.

  • Provide proactive employee relations and partner with assigned leadership to create a culture that supports business growth or business rightsizing and a respectful workplace.

  • Balance providing counsel/influence/management in both the union/non-union environment.

  • Supports Labor Relations lead in the areas of contract negotiation, grievance cases, arbitrations, conciliations, federal and state labor legislation, etc

  • Advise and support management in the implementation and delivery of HR programs and the optimization of organizational effectiveness.

  • Partner with leaders to identify top talent, support the succession planning process, and deliver training and development at the business unit level.

  • Partner with leadership on driving a culture that is diverse and inclusive.

  • Help drive business success by creating, reviewing and analyzing HR metrics to monitor performance and identify actionable trends. Ability to utilize various systems to pull data in order to generate reports primarily in PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Collaborate and direct the support of the HR Centers of Excellence and all elements of the HR delivery model to ensure the delivery of world class HR services and programs to address critical business needs and employ effective measures of success.

  • Responsible to drive ethical behavior and instill a culture of Safety, Health & Environmental throughout the organization, including continuous improvement of Safety standards through the Safety Maturity Matrix.-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Ability to display a high level of work prioritization, time management and customer follow through.

Mitigate human capital related business risks and support compliance activities.

Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Preferred Skills and Education

Experience or a desire to work in Labor Relations a plus-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->

Master s degree in Human Resources or other related discipline.
