Job Description

Financial Analyst - Entry level in Louisville, KY

The selected candidate will be a program financial analyst. The candidate must be capable of collecting, analyzing and summarizing financial data for inclusion in contract reviews, forecasts, and variance explanations. Runs, validates and distributes reports on data related to project costs. Participates in contract set up meetings, enters data into the Oracle ERP system and Hyperion Financial reporting systems. Maintains documented records supporting forecasts or variance explanations. Ensures Compliance with internal procedures and DFAR/FAR government regulations

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's degree in a financial discipline such as Accounting, Finance or Business Management.

Required Skills and Education

Required education: Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Finance or Business Management.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally

  • Good planning, time management and organization skills

  • Sound interpersonal skills used with interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with Company personnel

  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations

  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers

  • Strong research and analytical capabilities

  • Critical thinking skills possessing the ability to define and solve problems

  • Familiarity with MS Office Products

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Excellent command of MS Office Suite to include: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of Oracle ERP

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Hyperion
