BAE Systems Administrative Assistant in Los Angeles, California

Job Description

Come join a fast growing team in our Los Angeles location. As an Administrative Assistant in BAE Systems' Survivability, Targeting & Sensing (STS) Solutions Business Area, you will provide professional, customer-focused administrative support to a group of professionals. This position will perform a variety of complex administrative activities supporting day-to-day operations and she/he will effectively interfaces with a variety of staff and functions, ranging from senior executives to support personnel, and works independently with little to no supervision.

The ideal candidate is high energy, professional, proactive, reliable, and organized. She/he exudes a strong work ethic, positive attitude, team-oriented mentality and protectively handles confidential personnel and financially sensitive information. Other duties may include:

  • Schedule leadership and staff meetings and coordinating the ordering/delivery of business meals as required

  • Plan and coordinate travel, input travel costs into corporate expense reporting tool and assist travelers resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Collect business status inputs from the group's leadership team and draft briefing packages for monthly meetings and other data calls

  • Coordinate interviews

  • Coordinate office set-up , asset assignment, user accounts, and orientation for new hires

  • Collaborate with IT to ensure smooth use of teleconference, WEBEX and Telepresence meetings, and support tracking and ordering of the group s laptop, desktop, and hardware needs in collaboration with IT

Required Skills and Education

  • High level of proficiency with MS Office applications - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Experience in planning and coordinating travel

  • High level of familiarity and comfort with IT and telecommunications coordination

Preferred Skills and Education

Associate's Degree or equivalent and four years of directly related experience or

High School education plus up to one year specialized instruction and six years experience
