BAE Systems Construction Scheduler in Kingsport, Tennessee

Job Description

BAE Systems is currently recruiting for a Construction Scheduler to join our Modernization team at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant. This position will report to the Scheduling Manager with primary responsibilities that will include developing and maintaining schedules for various modernization projects as well as conduct project reviews in order to identify risks and to aide in coordination of overall execution.

Specific duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

o Development new project schedules with the project team using design drawings and company procedures.

o Work with project teams and function groups to maintain and update schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

o Be an active participant in team meetings.

o Other duties may include but not limited to:

Variance Analysis

Task sequencing

Resource loading/planning and scheduling

Trouble shooting

Risks/Opportunities Management

Review supplier schedules and provide feedback to the project team

Construction Progress / Construction Monitoring

Packaging information for distribution to various audiences

Projects Reporting. Provides regular reports to the project team.

Visually verify the progress on the work sites

Solves technical problems by providing leadership for developing project plans and their implementation.

Support teammates as needed

Provide peer reviews as needed

o Communicates summaries and recommendations to the project team based on project assessments.

o Foresees difficulties and reacts to communicate and avoid misunderstanding.

o Sequence & schedule the project work elements and determine the resources required for each work element.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

o Two years relevant experience to include developing and maintaining schedules in the heavy civil, chemical, industrial oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or utilties construction sectors.

o Knowledge of Primavera P6 and / or Microsoft Project.

Preferred Skills and Education

o Construction field work experience.

o Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent.

o Proficient using Integrated Program Manager by OPDEC.-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->
