BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair is seeking to hire a Master Inspector for its Quality Assurance department.

The selected candidate will be accountable for executing the following duties and responsibilities.

Perform and document in-process and final inspections as required by the contract inspection plan. Require monitoring BAE Systems personnel and subcontractors in-process work and be able to document deficient work.

Must have Nondestructive Testing for Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic Thickness and Visual Inspection Discipline.

Knowledge and experience performing to the Quality Assurance Program.

Experience in review, monitor, Test & Inspect Plans for completeness and work closely with trades and subcontractors to ensure Objective Quality Evidence is submitted in accordance with customer requirements.

Experience in Initiating Corrective Actions when discrepancies are identified and identify opportunities for improvement. Conduct Customer Inspections as required.

Reviews and maintains Quality Objective Evidence for completeness and correctness.

Must reflect knowledge of welding workmanship and tracks Process Control Procedures for status, completion and final customer acceptance.

Monitors Inspection Deficiency Reports and conducts surveillances of quality related activities.

Experience and ability to direct the accomplishment of in-process inspections including review of checkpoints and test requirements.

Knowledge and experience of NAVSEA Standard Items, Work Specifications, MIL STDs and drawings. Interfaces with customer pertaining to quality issues and demonstrates strong communication skills. Ability to provide technical assistance to trades and subcontractors on quality related issues.

Performs as the Lead Inspector on various class of ships.

Participates in meetings on the progress of the project and ensures clear communication with regards to performance and completion of work.

Must possess solid computer skills and perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Will be held responsible to promote ethical behavior, instill a culture of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Standards. NDT Level II Certified.

High school diploma/GED and eight years of relevant work experience
