BAE Systems Supplier Engineering Manager in Hudson, New Hampshire

Job Description

Provides and supports the execution and continuous improvement of specific supplier partnerships from an engineering perspective for the Global Strategic Sourcing organization. Individual will act as the technical management lead for supplier activities across BAE Systems ES USD sites, working with business area teams, Supplier Development and Supplier Quality Assurance to ensure that our strategies and operational improvement initiatives are effectively implemented. Individual will also act as the liaison between the Supplier, Supplier Quality Assurance and Global Strategic Sourcing. Position also responsible for identifying and pursuing cost reduction and second sourcing efforts where value exceeds effort to implement.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Experience with electronic component suppliers and technologies

  • Knowledge of process improvement and supply chain operations.

  • People and management Skills

  • Communication and collaboration across multiple disciplines

  • Proven teamwork and leadership skills

  • Ability to work across boundaries including across multiple functions, program teams, suppliers.

  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain Management practices and techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.

  • Computer proficiency, strong analytical thinking.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Working Knowledge of Data View, Tip QA and iSPAN.

  • Working knowledge of Oracle ERP a plus

  • Working knowledge of A&D/Government contracting a plus.

  • ASQ Auditor training.

  • Knowledge of IPC manufacturing standards.

  • Six Sigma certification.
