Job Description

BAE Systems Hudson is looking for a Quality Engineer to support the Space line of business for the Electronic Solutions sector. Known as an industry leader for its suite of radiation hardened products, Our Space business leverages decades of expertise to build a robust product line. The Quality Engineer position will be an individual contributor who will be mentored by the Quality Engineering Lead to complete daily tasks. As a part of an interdisciplinary program team, the Quality Engineer will be involved in (but not limited to) the following:

Reviewing Customer requirements to ensure proper flow down

Quality Management System audits of manufacturing areas

Interact with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Program Office and other Engineering disciplines as required

Witness environmental testing

Frequent interaction with the Customer thru Customer Source Inspection and preparation and presentation of Customer documentation

Serving as the overall voice of the customer to ensure that all requirements are accurately satisfied

Data Extraction / Analysis / Compilation

Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis

They may be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Three years experience in an a related field to quality, defense and/or electronics

Working knowledge of Product Process Verification and First Article Inspection

Outstanding communication skills

Demonstrated teamwork and leadership experience

Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Skills and Education

A minimum of four years of experience doing quality engineering work on high-tech electronics

Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems AS9100 or ISO9001
