BAE Systems OPM Business Improvement Specialist in Hudson, New Hampshire

Job Description

  • Oversees and manages the Operations project(s) and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Prepares project execution plan and identifies technical and business resources needed.

  • Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

  • Contribute to the Process Improvement Program by performing process improvement and oversight management of supplier performance

  • Perform onsite assessments of supplier capabilities, including a look into their process controls

  • Assisting with planning and implementing strategic and tactical process improvement initiatives;

  • Supporting the design and implementation of Lean, CMMI, and Six-sigma enterprise-wide measurement and metrics programs

  • Participating on cross-functional teams that design, develop, and deploy processes that further the key business objectives of the organization

  • Working with program teams to institutionalize processes on the projects

  • Provide applicable process improvement training internally and with our suppliers

  • Lead the development and deployment of plans and projects that will drive and improve supplier quality in the STS BA.

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and program Teams supply chain activities that reduce supplier costs on executing programs and improve our probability of win on business captures.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Proven teamwork and leadership skills; able to work across boundaries including across multiple functions, program teams, suppliers

  • Strong process knowledge and hands-on experience implementing process improvement principles Problem Solver, Self-Starter

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills

  • Computer proficiency, strong analytical thinking

  • Must be willing to travel

Preferred Skills and Education

BS in technical field or equivalent experience as it relates to project management and process improvement and minimum of five (5) years work experience or Master s degree and six (3) years experience-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->

Black Belt or Green Belt certification is a plus
