BAE Systems Lead Integration & Test EO/IR Engineer in Hudson, New Hampshire

Job Description

BAE Inc is currently seeking an experienced System Engineering Integration and Test Lead to join its C4ISR business area in Hudson, NH supporting a growing product line of cutting edge, EO/IR system solutions.

  1. Serve as the technical authority on all aspects of the Integration and Test phase of the program. The Integration and Test program will be extremely complex, with the requirement to provide leadership and direction to subcontractors, peer contractors and the customer to complete the verification and validation of the system.

  2. Serve as primary technical interface to the customer for all Integration and Test questions. Develop and brief the test approach at design reviews. Develop and brief all Test Readiness Reviews.

  3. Participate in the definition of the system requirements, ensuring the testability of all requirements.

  4. Lead the development of the system level test plans and procedures. Develop the production level tests. Specify unique test equipment requirements, review lower level subsystem validation activities.

  5. Lead all qualification, stressing, environmental and functional testing.

  6. Actively direct the system integration activities across distributed sites, leading to a system selloff.

  7. Lead and review the production of all required test and analysis reports.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • An active TS clearance is required

  • Experience testing large integrated systems to include EO/IR and payload components

  • Experience testing distributed network components

  • Experience testing EO/IR concepts such as closed loop pointing and control such as gimbal control, lasers, precision pointing of laser beams, performance testing of optical components and subsystems, supporting electronics, and fiber optic communications.

  • Successful candidate must possess strong organizational skills, problem solving skills demonstrated by analytical ability to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations, without supervision.

  • Position requires excellent oral and written communications skills. The candidate must have developed communication skills to exchange complex technical information with a diverse group of stakeholders and the ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve consensus on technical approaches decisions and issue resolution

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Master Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related scientific field

  • Airborne platform IV&V experience

  • Space platform IV&V experience
