Job Description

The Progressperson will report directly to the Scheduling Manager. The progressperson will interact with other team members within Scheduling department, Program Management team members (Finance, Ship Superintendents, Project Managers, Program Managers, Craft Managers, Safety, and Quality Dept.), Production employees, Subcontractors and other customers including our Government customer. Will be responsible for the following: Report independent assessment of production completion status reporting as a function of Planned Percentage Complete for up to 110 individual work items. Liaison directly with BAE Trade Forman, BAE Craft Managers, BAE Project Managers, and Project Ship Superintendents as well as with as many as 25 Sub-Contractor Project Mangers regarding their reporting of Actual vs. Planned Percentage Complete for Work items assigned. Update Open Plan project master schedule via Excel Update reporting tool to liaison with Senior Scheduler to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to production forecasts or customer work specifications and drawing orders. Assist Senior Scheduler and Project Schedules Manager with project schedule analysis to Project Manager, listing critical activities, displaying activities that are behind schedule, and providing a mitigation plan to recover schedule. Assist the BAE Scheduler and Project Manager m maintaining continuous communication with customer, Government Project Managers and BAE HSY Project Team Assist in pointing out the need to expedite operations that delay schedules, and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions and devise "what if' scheduling scenarios based on potential new and growth work Assist in the continued indoctrination of planning and production personnel in the planning and scheduling process Ensure that requirements of the safety handbook are properly followed and enforced. Perform similar, incidental and other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

Must be a US Citizen or Naturalized

Must be able to obtain and maintain base access to Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (DBIDS)

Must be able to work from 6am to 2:30pm M-F and overtime as needed

Must have a valid driver's license

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) and have strong written and oral communication skills

Must be able to board ships, enter confined spaces with limited visibility and have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights to complete the job or inspections

Mustbe able to work indoors or outdoors under all weather conditions

Must be physically and medically qualified to wear required personal protective equipment.

Preferred Skills and Education

Maritime Trade experience with welding, mechanical, electrical, pipe fitting or painting. US Navy Experience. Understand Navy Ship diagrams, US Navy language and the ability to coordinate individual meetings. Individual should be somewhat extroverted and willing to have dialogue with Trade Foreman, Superintendents, and Project Supervisors. Ability to read Navy Specifications and drawings is a plus.
