Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for well-qualified professionals to join our team for an exciting opportunity to support the readiness and sustainment of the United States Air Force (USAF) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile program (ICBM). This contract augments organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and ICBM Demonstration / Validation (Dem/Val) Integrated Applications Programs.

The perfect candidate will have demonstrated intimate familiarity with the Minute Man III (MM III) weapon system and knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisitions processes. This candidate will have demonstrated past ability to work seamlessly with the Air Force customer in previous Systems Engineering, modification or Acquisition positions.

This position reports to the ICBM Cryptography Upgrade II (ICU II) Program Manager (PM), and will assist in all aspects of Advise and Assist (A&AS) and Acquisition program management regarding the ICU II Program, including overseeing hardware production, software development, support equipment development, developmental and operational testing, and fielding. This PM will assist with cost, schedule and technical delivery for their assigned portfolio and will be a primary interface with applicable Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Ground Systems Division (AFNWC/NIA) Program Managers and Engineers, NIA Branch Chief and A&AS Branch Lead. This position manages and delivers on corporate objectives including return on sales, product delivery (to include hours delivered), product quality and to a lesser extent, business growth.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • 12 plus years with a Bachelor of Science Degree

  • 10 plus years with a Master of Science Degree

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Previous experience in Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Systems (ICBM) modification or acquisition programs

  • In depth understanding of Minute Man III, ICBM Systems Directorate and Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition program requirements and documentation

  • Master's Degree
