BAE Systems Logistics Planner/Scheduler in Greenlawn, New York

Job Description

The requirements of this position, include the planning, scheduling and monitoring field return assets from receipt on the dock and induction into the system through the repair cycle, sell off and shipping back to the customer. The candidate would be a member of the overall CIT Logistics team, would be responsible for providing daily direction to a cross functional team of Operations personnel. The individual would also work closely with Program Management Office, Contracts and Quality Assurance personnel to ensure that contract delivery due dates are satisfied. The candidate would be responsible for reporting any issues (parts shortages, resources, etc.) at daily status meetings and work to resolve these issues. Reporting hardware status to management as well as customer interfaces will be required. The candidate should be a team player, be motivated and is encouraged to express any ideas to enhance the processes. The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Familiarity / experience with Oracle ERP system would be a plus.-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Microsoft Office products. Experience with am MRP planning system preferred. Ability to generate and present program status to multiple levels of management in a clear and concise manner. Public speaking/presentation skills. Open to a team environment, able to provide direction to other working groups. Some movement of production items (<30lbs) possible.
