Become a Contracts Manager within BAE Systems' Tactical Systems product line in Greenlawn and shape a growing and exciting business at the forefront of C4ISR development.

Role includes:

Lead the proposal, negotiation, and management of complex proposal and contract activities in accordance with company policies, legal and customer requirements with limited guidance or supervision from the Senior Contracts Manager.

Interpret and communicate business commitments and alternatives to program team and management.

Application of extensive knowledge of government and commercial contracting methods, applicable laws and regulations.

Supervise and guide work of a small team of lower grade contracting employees.

Advise management of contractual rights and obligations, risk mitigation alternatives and business strategy.

Support Program managers, Product Line Directors, and Business Area leads and provide contracts advice and counsel to management at all levels as required.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or 12 years of experience in lieu of degree

Required Skills and Education

  • FAR/DFAR knowledge and experience

  • Experience with agreements other than contracts (ex. NDAs, bailment agreements, teaming agreements, distributor agreements and/or software license agreements)

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member

  • Experience working with both domestic and international customers

  • Extensive experience working on major proposals, including proposals with TINA requirements

Preferred Skills and Education

  • JD, MBA or Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

  • Experience with commercial contracting and intellectual property

  • People management experience
