BAE Systems Contracts Administrator II in Greenlawn, New York

Job Description

To perform the coordination and management of moderately complex proposals, contracts and purchase orders from the US Government and International customers involving limited financial considerations or technical significance under the supervision of a higher level Contract Administrator or Manager. The individual is expected to continue to build the basic knowledge, skills and experience required for effective contract management, including negotiations, regular communication with customers and management and also develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree

Required Skills and Education

  1. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties.

  2. Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.

  3. Exhibits sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel and customers.

  4. Uses computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents.

  5. Makes decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

  6. Develops and demonstrates research and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills and Education

Masters Degree in Business or Finance and 2 years related experience.
