BAE Systems Senior Test Equipment Engineer in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Provide test equipment design engineering support to the Air Transport Product Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; the sustainment of test equipment and its associated software, test equipment repair and maintenance support, and integration and release of test equipment to production utilizing established configuration control procedures.
Candidates will be expected to provide the test equipment engineering support needs for the Air Transport Product Center. Candidate is required to demonstrate electronics troubleshooting skills. Proven technical skills across a broad spectrum of test equipment (ATS, CGTI, BATS, CATS, etc.) and software languages (Basic, Fourth, Labview, C , etc.) is desired.
Candidate shall have proven project leadership skills (preferable test equipment related projects) and be capable of analyzing problems, developing and proposing solutions, and executing to project plan commitments. Experience with six-sigma and 6s methods is preferred.
Some travel can be expected. Due to Exposure to High Voltage candidate will be included in drug testing pool.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and minimum 5 years of experience.
Demonstrated electronics troubleshooting (analog, digital).
Proficient at interpreting functional test requirement specifications.
Test equipment experience in fault diagnosis and isolation.
Proficient at test equipment design and development.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills and Education
Proven technical skills across a broad spectrum of test equipment and software languages.
Statistical process control techniques knowledge.
Ability to propose and quote product test equipment project plans.
